So This is Abundance 20×24

I painted this lemon branch earlier this year (2025) and didn’t share it. Not because I didn’t like it or because it wasn’t finished. But because it hadn’t revealed itself to me yet.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll keep saying it: my paintings don’t always tell me what they are in the moment. Sometimes they need to sit and sometimes I need to live a little more.

Looking at it now, it feels obvious.

So this is abundance.

Not the kind you chase or measure by output, but the kind where life is full, and the branch is heavy with fruit and flowers at the same time. Where there is more than enough, even when it doesn’t all look like you thought it would.

This year, my creativity moved in many directions. My plate was full in ways that mattered, even if it wasn’t always full of paintings. And somehow, this piece held all of that before I could name it.

There’s gratitude here.
For the fullness, the cultivation. For the richness of a life and creativity that don’t need to rush to prove themselves.
