About Bonnie

Bonnie Sorsby (b. 1985, Miami, FL) is a South Florida-based multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in color, freedom, intuition, and respect for our natural world. Painting primarily in acrylic, she creates expressive, vibrant pieces with lively brushwork and an instinctive approach that leaves room for movement, discovery, and surprise.

Inspired by the people, flora, fauna, and light of South Florida, Bonnie’s work reflects a deep appreciation for beauty and the everyday details that make a place feel alive. She approaches each piece with trust in the creative process, embracing the idea of letting “enough be enough” and allowing simplicity to reveal its own beauty.

Mindful creation is also an important part of Bonnie’s practice. She believes the choices made in the studio matter, from the energy brought into the act of creating to the materials used along the way. She aims to work thoughtfully and responsibly, making use of what she has, minimizing unnecessary waste, and allowing those values to shape the way her work comes together. At the heart of her practice is a belief that the energy carried into the making becomes part of what is made, shaping how the work is ultimately experienced and received.

A lifelong creative, Bonnie’s practice also includes photography and design. At home, she is a wife and homeschooling mother of two, and she is deeply grateful for the flexibility entrepreneurship has given her to create, work, learn, and grow alongside her family.
