Stop and Smell the Roses – 11.7×16.5

The title is a little reminder I keep giving myself. Egrets are patient birds, content to stand still and wait, and this one wandered into the garden and stopped for the roses. I painted it while trying to romanticize my own life a bit more, slowing down long enough to notice the beauty right in front of me. Maybe it can be that reminder on your wall, too.
