If you do not know your birth time, put in noon. You will lose the house placement and the sign will still be right nearly every time.
Sign or house, which one matters more
The house, usually. Your Chiron sign is shared by everyone born within a year or two of you, so it describes a generation more than a person. The house is yours. It names the room where the sore spot lives: your body, your money, your family, the work you do in public.
Two people can both have Chiron in Aries and have almost nothing in common, because one has it in the 6th and spends her life apologizing to doctors, and the other has it in the 10th and cannot be praised without wanting to leave the room.

Chiron comes back to its birth position somewhere around your fiftieth year, and most writing stops there. Chiron has a lopsided orbit though, fast at one end and slow at the other, so the exact age moves depending on where yours sits.
Computed across birth years from 1950 to 1995, the return lands between 50.1 and 51.6, and the pattern is consistent:
- Chiron in Aries through Virgo, your return arrives at about 50.1
- Chiron in Sagittarius, Aquarius or Pisces, it runs later, up to 51.6
A year and a half either way sounds small until you are the one waiting for it. Somebody born in 1960 with Chiron in Pisces got hers in January 2012, at 51.6. Somebody born in 1975 with Chiron in late Aries got hers in July 2025, at 50.1.
